Celebrating 30 Years

Happy 30th Cincinnati Sports Club!

Cincinnati Sports Club (formerly known as the Cincinnati Sports Mall) is celebrating 30 years!

Join us on Saturday, February 8 for a Free Community Celebration from 10am-2pm.

All are welcome to attend the Club’s Anniversary Open House , Wellness Expo with TriHealth & Beacon Orthopaedics and Indoor Family Festival on Saturday, February 8 from 10am-2pm.  This Free community event is an excellent way for the residents to experience a lifestyle at one of the Midwest’s finest clubs located on a 16-acre campus that is experiencing steady growth, while continually enhancing the member experience as part of Club Vision 2025, a plan that is driven largely by the feedback from both their members and professional advisory boards.

The Cincinnati Sports Club was formed in 1990 by a group of local investors who had a strong need to serve the local community by providing a high quality experience to family, friends and neighbors.  The original concept was a “sports mall” atmosphere where residents would benefit from numerous sporting facilities in one location. Original tenants included the Cincinnati Sports Club, Hyde Park Gymnastics, Soccer 1, Strike 3 Batting Cages, Winners Café, P-Body’s Exercise Studio, Queen City Sports Medicine and Koch Sporting Goods.

30 years later, the Club is making a difference in the lives of others through their unique combination of health, medical wellness and social programming. “The Sports Mall model did not function properly due to site limitations. Through the years, the Club grew into the indoor 110,000 square foot facility and concentrates on building a unique member experience”, states Mary Frank, Sr. Manager from Mt. Lookout who has been with the Club for the past 26 years.

“And every year, we continue to grow to meet the ever changing needs of our members – all part of our master plan – Club Vision 2025 v2.0. When I reflect on our timeline of improvements, you can see our commitment to the membership and the community. Every surface of the Club has been improved, enhanced or modified. And we are not done yet. We are expecting to open our new adult only outdoor pool and poolside café/bar this May and will start our plans for an on-site dog sitting facility”, continues Frank.

CSC has become one of the premiere facilities in the region. 87% of Club members reside in the surrounding neighborhoods of Hyde Park, Mt. Lookout, Oakley, Mariemont and Fairfax. And there are more than 100 charter members who are still active today at the Club. Carroll Roberts, the Club’s longest tenured member since 1990 says “the club over the years has served as a home away from home for my family. My family is all still active today and continue to enjoy our various workout options.  No question the Club is an extension of our family.  Thank You Cincinnati Sports Club for great memories and the continued usage of all the facilities amenities and improvements.”
