Introducing Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) at Cincinnati Sports Club For Members and Non-Members
There is a public health crisis in America: 1 out of 3 adults currently has pre-diabetes. Of those, 90% don’t even know they have it, and 75% are likely to develop type 2 diabetes. On average, those with diabetes will incur 2-3 times more medical expenses than those without it.
In response to this epidemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has created the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), an initiative designed to help people at risk of type 2 diabetes reduce their risk by participating in evidence-based lifestyle changes in a community network setting.
A trained Lifestyle Coach incorporates lifestyle modification support around healthy eating, increased physical activity and stress reduction while teaching new skills and habits for lifetime sustainability.
The lifestyle change program is a fully paid benefit for Medicare/Medicare Advantage members.
