Racquet Sports at Cincinnati Sports Club

We offer a variety of different Racquet sports, all conveniently located within our premier facilities just minutes from Hyde Park and Oakley.

Winter Activities

The outdoor courts are buzzing with platform play, as the winter season comes alive. And new this season - the Cincinnati Sports Club offers the city's only indoor grass pickleball courts for league play. Clinics for platform tennis and pickleball teach players young and old new sills throughout the season, competitive play picks up, and Friday night racquet socials connect new players as friends.

Skilled athletes and beginners alike are welcome to join club leagues, ladders, round robins and tournaments for all of our court sports. Private lessons are also available to help you improve your game and rise in the ranks.  The Club’s comprehensive offering of racquet sports provides year-round indoor and outdoor play for players of all levels.

All equipment including racquets, squash balls, shoes, and goggles will be provided; participants may wear their own unmarked, indoor squash shoes if desired. Each clinic is one-hour in length, and the program cost is $199.00 for a full 8 hours of focused squash instruction.

      Frequently Asked Questions
  • Pickleball
    • Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960s as a children's backyard pastime, but quickly became popular among adults as a fun game for players of all levels. It has the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis. There are very few overhead shots in Pickleball, so it’s a great game for anyone seeking a lower-impact racquet sport.
Indoor Pickleball Leagues Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 PickleBall Program
Demo paddles and balls are always available for free rentals at member services, and the Club hosts free round robin play every Tuesday night from 6pm-7pm through the spring, summer and fall.

  • Platform Tennis
    • The Cincinnati Sports Club is one of the only non-country club facilities with platform tennis courts, opening the game to more participants from across the local community. Platform tennis is a fast-paced, doubles-only racquet sport played on heated outdoor courts from early October through mid-March, so it’s the perfect way to get your racquet fix through the winter months. We offer private lessons, adult inter-club leagues, junior instruction and open play for all-inclusive members and guests.

      Fall 2019 - Spring 2020 Platform Tennis
  • Racquetball
    • If Racquetball is your game, the international-regulation courts at the Club’s main facility is your destination. They are available for open play at no additional cost to members, and reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance. We participate in the Cincinnati Racquetball League, and offer competitive ladder play for interested players. Visit the Club’s Pro Shop for a selection of racquets, balls and additional supplies.
