With the goal of continuing to be the finest hybrid health club in the Midwest, while serving the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of their growing member community, 2023 has been another year filled with many improvements at the Cincinnati Sports Club. This year marked the largest annual capital expenditure in the Club’s 33-year history.
A few of the physical improvements that enhance the member experience included:
-
The addition of a 250 square foot Adult Co-Working Space. The new space expands the co-working options on campus, which also include a variety of open work spaces, private phone/video call rooms, reservable spaces for small group meetings and larger reservable spaces for networking.
-
The indoor cushioned pickleball courts received an upgrade with new LED fixtures and RGB (red, green, blue) lighting effects for special events.
-
Newly remodeled locker rooms and restrooms to provide members with more private spaces for showering and changing. The Club now offers more than 5 options indoors located throughout the facility.
-
The addition of an Adult Rooftop Deck at the Adult Only 21+ Outdoor pool to provide more lounging options for members on the weekends and holidays.
Aligned with their mission of continually serving the whole person, in early 2023, the Club also rolled out a confidential counseling program where members can get up to three free, one-on-one Telehealth sessions with a licensed therapist from hospital partners at TriHealth. It’s a one-of-a-kind program that isn’t offered at any other health club in the country.
The Club also co-hosts an ongoing series of webinars/seminars with TriHealth professionals with topics addressing wellness for both the body and the mind, along with a Community Health and Well-Being Day that was free and open to the public.
According to Cincinnati Sports Club General Manager Marco Fiorini, "We believe that offering an opportunity for member connections outside the workout in a comfortable social setting is critical to the individual’s mental wellness and is part of our core mission.
More than 20 years ago, the Club Manager hosted a focus group comprised of a variety of members from different age groups and different levels of membership. A quiet whisper said, ‘it’s kind of hard to meet people in Cincinnati.’ That one little comment propelled the Club to launch what was then our weekly Friday Poolside Happy Hours. What started as maybe 50 members a week has grown into summer weekly attendance close to 700 and near 350 at the weekly indoor winter events.”
The annual social calendar features more than 45 annual social events, which include the ongoing monthly 3rd Tuesday Tasting, Book Club Wednesdays, Learn & Sip Thursdays and Cribbage Fridays.
